UK Hypersonics Network Kick-Off Meeting

Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) London

The UK Hypersonics Network will hold its Kick-Off Meeting on Tuesday 28 January 2026 at the Royal Aeronautical Society, No. 4 Hamilton Place, London W1J 7BQ. This national event marks the official launch of a new UK-wide research and technology network dedicated to advancing hypersonic flight science and experimentation.

The Network brings together leading universities, industry, and government partners to coordinate research, develop proof-of-concept studies, and work towards UK hypersonic flight test experiments.

The meeting will introduce the Network’s vision and objectives and the establishment of Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs) focused on priority scientific challenges including aerodynamics, thermochemistry, propulsion, materials and guidance systems. Attendees will hear from academic and industrial experts, discuss upcoming opportunities, and help define the roadmap for future flight experiments. Participation is free of charge and all those with an interest in high-speed flight research are encouraged to attend.
