About the Network

The Network coordinates the UK hypersonics community around shared priorities: flight‑relevant experiments, diagnostics, infrastructure and skills. It provides a neutral forum to align research, facilities and industrial needs and to help partners form competitive collaborations.

Aims:

  • Foster collaboration across academia, industry and government.
  • Identify priority themes and coordinate SIGs and working groups.
  • Support access to facilities, good practice and standardisation.
  • Develop people and skills through forums, short courses and ECR activities.
  • Share information and resources across the community.

People and governance:

  • Project Co‑Lead (PcL): Dr Paul Bruce - Imperial College London
  • Research & Innovation Associate (RIA): Dr Laurent Le Page - University of Oxford
  • Grant Manager: Kathryn Scott - University of Oxford
  • Executive Board: PL, PcL, RIA, Grant Manager, SIG Leads, and representatives from industry and government
  • Network Manager: To be appointed (coordination, events, communications)
